Grubiks 4x4

The Rubik's Revenge aka the Master Cube has a 4x4x4 cube layout, making it harder to solve than the original Rubik's Cube, grubiks 4x4. Aside packhacker the 8 familiar corner pieces, this puzzle features twice as many edge pieces and 4 center pieces on each grubiks 4x4 its faces compared to only 1 on the Rubik's Cube.

It has the exact same mechanism as the Rubik's Revenge, but it also shares the same idea behind the Mirror Cube - Meaning same color stickers but changing block sizes. The center pieces of this puzzle 4 center pieces for each face of the puzzle all have the same height and width, they only differ by depth, so matching them means there are no "bumps" - all 4 have the same depth. The Rubik's Revenge is the 4x4 version of the Rubik's Cube. This twisty puzzle can be used as a 2x2x2 , not turning the outer layers or can be used as a 3x3x3 if we rotate only the outer layers. There are about 7. It has 24 edges, 24 centers and 8 corner fields. It has similar core mechanism as a Rubik's Cube but in this case the 4 center pieces are held together by a hidden center.

While the original Pyraminx has only about 75 million possible combinations, the Master Pyraminx has about quadrilion of them - a number that is much closer to the Rubik's Cube's 43 quintillion possible combinations.
