Adam Warlock is a major supporting character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. Once a friend to Grand Unifier Raker and blessed with divine-like power, Adam is the former "golden god" worshipped by the Universal Church of Truth until his presumed death during the Galactic War. During the operation, Raker managed to free Adam from the Stone, but took its power and harnessed it to establish the Universal Church of Truth and conquer the galaxy. At some point, Adam Warlock was involved in the Galactic War and was presumed dead, but it was revealed that he went into hiding instead. Adam is a noble and virtuous, yet rather pompous being. He generally speaks in a highly formal and verbose fashion that makes heavy use of alliteration. Adam seems to somewhat share the belief of his former followers in his divinity even referring to himself as a god on one occasion. Though somewhat arrogant and generally demanding, Adam is humble enough to admit that he has made several mistakes and will go out of his way to fix them even being willing to absorb Magus back into himself, despite the risk of corruption to save the galaxy showing that in spite of his pompous and haughty demeanour, Adam is a truly heroic and kind-hearted person even calling the other Guardians his friends after joining them.
