Previously, I lived in Helensvale and still have family and friends there. In this community, there is a great deal of friendliness, and at Christmas, some of the streets put on a beautiful display. Have lived on the GC for 30 years having moved from down south. Having lived close to the beach when younger, to Mudgeeraba when kids were younger, we now call Helensvale home. We have not regretted moving here once. We know our neighbours, the streets are quiet, walking is beautiful with gardens well cared for, kids walk safely to and from school, sea breezes from our hilltop position. Moved from overseas 5 years ago, beautiful area surrounded my parks and close to shopping centers. Love the new night markets and how friendly the neighbourhood is. Riverlinks Area is great! Helensvale has everything, beautiful surrounds, an abundance of wildlife and everything you need close by. It's a nice leafy suburb which is well positioned in the northern end of the the Gold Coast.

Helensvale is bounded by the Pacific Motorway to the west, by the Coomera River to the north, by Saltwater Creek to the north-east, by Coombabah Creek and Coombabah Lake to the south-east. Saltwater Creek flows through the suburb from west Oxenford to the north from where it forms the north-east boundary of the suburb. The principal land use is residential including some canal estates in the north of the suburb providing boat access to Coomera River and Saltwater Creek. There are areas of low-lying mangrove swamps along the Coombabah Creek. The Gold Coast railway line passes through the suburb from north Coomera to south Arundel. The Gold Coast light rail has its northern terminus at the railway station and then exits the suburb to the south running immediately parallel and east of the railway line. The name is derived from the name given to a local sugar plantation.

I have a large block of land, spacious brick home and the Gold Coast lifestyle. We enjoy feeding the ducks on the lake and having swans come and visit. Brisbane Times.
