Home assistant disable integration
In my opinion it would be useful to be able to temporary disable integrations. For example: turn off telegram notifications during the night. According to my information the current solution would be add it to the condition part of an automation.
Seems like this can only be done in the UI. I would love to use this for OctoPrint, which in my case only runs occasionally. After the print is done and the printer cooled down I want to shut down OctoPrint and disable the Integration again. Currently the OctoPrint Integration is always active which slows down every restart of Home Assistant and adds unnecessary Warnings to the Log. I have to disable my telldus integration every now and again.

You either use default config, or you manage the integrations that default config provides. But, having all of my oauth callback URLs overridden is a huge hassle and while I get that it makes it easier for some users, it should be possible to opt out. I see many change Requests to have an exclude option but could not find anything in the documentation that this was solved. I dont need it, it is broken or at least not able to cope with my network infrastructure and might be the cause for my CPU Load issues. Is there an up to date list what I need to put there? The release notes will make note of this. You can also create a scrape sensor that searches the bullets. This is absolutely insane! I was hoping to link google mail but in order to do that I have to allow your organization to be able to intercept the oauth and gain access to an API that controls my EMAIL. What on earth could be the rationalization for this?
I like your use cases. PrairieSnpr June 11,pm 1.

It is no longer possible to re-enable a disabled integration. Not sure when it broke, discovered it today by accident while debugging some other issue. It doesn't matter which integration you try to enable, it's entirely broken.

Speaking about disabling integrations. If I remember correctly I found no documentation for this. Especially if is it possible in core integrations. If so, how to disable Shelly integration? So, the integration must be added first to be disabled, right? But for Shelly. Curious if is it enough to disable it for one instance to disable whole integration? It even turned into extreme situation when I was migrating my HA. So literally I want to disable the Shelly integration at all, before it is used for some device.

I agree a user should not be able to turn off any software required to provide a minimum viable product. I was using the error message example as a visible indication of an issue. How are we supposed to trust home assistant to not collect this information? Thank you. I have other examples where my tuya devices go down expectedly and I am flooded too with messages which could be handled better imo…this would still be the integration to deal with that. You might need to click ignore times based on the current implementation of config flow. Normally this is achieved through HA controlled smart switches. The reason is that while the integration is running I am unable to access the associated hardware to configure it. Maybe the solution is in the integration, a service to stop and start the connection fi? Heh… I made several mistakes. You misunderstand how OAuth2 works in Home Assistant. SamJongenelen Sam Jongenelen February 4, , pm 9. This would be great to have for the Adventurer3. For example, When you turn off your synology or any device integrated in HA, HA spams lotsa errors because it cannot reach the device.
As part of a wider effort to reduce standby power usage, I have a number of devices with configured integrations which are only powered up when needed. Normally this is achieved through HA controlled smart switches. Depending on reconnection polling, these devices might be unreliably available when I want to use them with HA.
Ok… so how do I disable the dhcp discovery integration then?? It can be done, as seen by many other integrations. Devices like my tv, my av receiver, and my logitech harmony hub. PrairieSnpr June 11, , pm 1. It would just be easy to do it via a button or google assistant. Help would be appreciated. AskAlice Alice Knag June 2, , am See the blog on This link speaks to disabling zeroconf so you can control what gets configured. It even turned into extreme situation when I was migrating my HA. When you want to link your account, you start the authorization process. I have to disable my telldus integration every now and again. My Printer and NAS are also not always on.
I am sorry, that I interfere, but it is necessary for me little bit more information.
Should you tell it a false way.
