Otto Hightower was extremely self-serving, even if it meant ruining his daughter's life for it. As the Hand of the King, he hungered for power, rarely giving Viserys the right advice for his House or the benefit of the Kingdom. Therefore, he made Alicent seduce Viserys to become his wife after Aemma died, corrupting his daughter's innocence and dreams in a mere moment. Otto Hightower was absolutely ruthless, too, which made his naked ambition dangerous. Otto Hightower thought that he was the smartest character in the room , but he was plainly the cruelest in House of the Dragon.
