Hilton is conveniently located in the city centre - where short walk straight ahead may take you passing by the National Art Gallery, Byzantine Museum, Benaki Museum up through the shop-heavy Kolonaki until you reach Syntagma Square. Quite expensive for casual travellers and lone ones, but they often have a great package deal with extra museum admissions. As I was a lone traveller, the staff were more than helpful and the facilities within the hotel wouldn't let me leave. I did expect that The Golden Age of Athens would be a pleasant hotel but the hotel, its staff and services have surpassed my expectations. The help desk was truly helpful Thank you Eleni!!! The rooms were spacious and very neat as well as modern and the breakfast was one of the best I've had on my travels. Thank you!!!

It's not the kind of closeness, just because many restaurants and bars in Athens are open, so the sound can't be contained. I don't mind because I don't sleep in the early morning. Our room was in the second building across the street and had a balcony. Very nice hotel, located near the Acropolis, the terrace is very special, suitable for drinking at night to watch the night and scenery of the Acropolis.
