This weapon will have you standing still charging it up so that you can unleash a massive swing to deal maximum damage. The Nodachi is a good starting weapon to use as it is simpler than some of the other weapons in your arsenal and is unlocked from the get-go. Your movements and attacks will be slower than with other weapons and that will mean you need to make sure to hit your attacks, as missing a fully charged heavy swing will be a big waste of the time that you've spent setting the attack up.
