Double-chambered right ventricle is a rare cardiac anomaly in adulthood. A year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital for complaints of dyspnea and chest pain. She was diagnosed as having a double-chambered right ventricle and atrial septal defect. Proximal right ventricular chamber pressure was mmHg, while pressures in the pulmonary artery and the distal right ventricular chamber were 22 mmHg. A right atriotomy and longitudinal right ventricular outflow tract incision were performed and her patent foramen ovale was closed. Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, forty-three consecutive patients operated for symptomatic carotid stenosis were divided into two groups according to the preferred surgical method CCEA and ECEA , and compared in terms of postoperative hospital stay, use of shunts and antibiotics, early day complications, long-term restenosis, and mortality rates.
