Generally, Hades is used as a powerful tank to protect other units, built to be particularly useful on stages that mix traits, which would normally limit the usefulness of multiple tanks, as while they have more effective health than Hades in general, these units falter very quickly against enemies they are not meant to counter and when cursed. Hades attacks very fast and has short range, so he can easily wipe out weaker peons and stall other enemies consistently, but he's too slow to reach the frontline on time for this. His rapid attacks are mostly detrimental to his role, as while this can get fragile enemies off him very quickly, those that aren't like Brollow and Rain D. He also has to remain there for an extended period to inflict damage comparable to good tankers, which reduces his reliability as he may not survive long enough to make an impact. His range and cooldown are both too much for a tank, and as such you may never get him on the field when you need him the most.
