The problem I'm having is when I turn off my second monitor, my main monitor will go black and display. When I go into safe mode I can unplug my second monitor and my first monitor doesn't display the message. With both monitors connected and powered on, temporarily set the resolution and Hz on BOTH to something low that both monitors can handle. Now see if you can set what you want to be the main monitor in Window's Display Settings to "Make this my main display" and then "extend these displays" again.

This laptop came out of the box yesterday and I plugged an external monitor into the VGA port to extend my desktop. I would expect the VGA port to be an analog display. Under screen resolution, the 2nd detected monitor is listed as "Realtek". There are no other options and I cannot find a way to change the output on the 2nd display to an analog generic pnp monitor. Some screenshots are attached. I have already exhausted the Toshiba user forums, and they could not find a solution. If possible, use a straight VGA cable instead of a converter or adapter and install the monitor driver.
