Iron horse mountain bike

Can you tell us a little about how you got into mountain bikes? What inspired you to buy an old frame, iron horse mountain bike, cut it up, and spend money on new tubing when there are plenty of great bikes out there these days? What parts did you need to modify for re-use from the original frame? Are you a welder or machinist by trade?

The MKIII is on par with the competition in weight terms for its price and travel, and the WTB tyres roll well enough to give it a reasonably rapid feel on less testing trails. More skinny tubes and shaped sections create the markedly asymmetric rear subframe, with its cantilevered driveside dropout and hooped brace. Bolted brace upper linkages and smaller lower linkages create the dw-link suspension architecture. SRAM transmission works well and the Hayes brakes are powerful if not very communicative. Iron Horse is certainly a complete brand. They not only cater to high-end and experienced riders but also make some of the top entry-level bikes you can find on the market today. Our Iron Horse Mountain Bike Review will take you to the depths of the brand and find out some of the key features that set them apart. Mountain biking is one of my passions and I have had the fortune of having some time to do this sport as much as I possibly could. Yes, the sport is rather expensive, but this is only when you start out and you need all the basic equipment. SasaAbazovic Jan 19, at DirtCrab : Huge Earthed fan over here too. The bike is sweet, and they aren't riding it, heat treated or not. A pizza oven can get plenty hot and you can fit the frame in parts so that would be an option if you don't want to pay the couple hundred bucks to have it done professionally. There are many experts in this thread pleading for him to heat treat this project. I've been dreaming of something similar. This is amazing. Matinsky Jan 18, at So the DW link patent is up in 2 years? I'd definitely would be intesrested on getting in touch. So many heat affected zones with so many welds, it should be heat treated for sure. How many fans died? No heat treat, lno oem style gusset, slacker angle? Imabigboy82 Jan 19, at Seriously sketchy. Those frames ate them once a shuttle! Am I the only one seeing centre-justified comments? In other projects. Not a fan. PB must have mellowed! I wish this was a business and not a one-off.
