Our beautiful fine art gallery, printmaking studio and Framing workshop is located in the heart of Ironbridge. The ironbridge framing industrial brick and wood timber frame building, with a 40ft high ceiling, ironbridge framing, is the perfect setting, ironbridge framing. Many artists, schools, individuals, art groups and art societies come to our print studio to learn about the art of printmaking as well as offering Guild Certified Framing and Art Sure approved Giclee Printing. Our work has been carried out across Shropshire, the UK and right across the world.

We take great pride in framing our own artwork as well as yours and therefore offer the top three levels of bespoke framing: commended, conservation and museum standard. Through our passion for fine art and the framing of fine art, we aim to help preserve historic, sentimental and valuable artworks for the enjoyment of future generations. We are also pleased to be displaying a range of work from new artists to our Gallery including vibrant and enticing Canvases by Charles Pearson, beautiful hand made Terrariums by Anna Pearson and incredible Oil Canvases from Jen Lynn. Printmaking is an art form that has been around for centuries with it first developed in China in the fifth century. Printmaking was originally designed to apply patterns to textiles, as time developed the process was then used on paper. Other processes such as engraving, and etching were then created in the 15th century. Within fine art printmaking, there are many different printing techniques that you can use. We run several printmaking courses that will teach these different printmaking techniques. To read about some of the printmaking techniques that you can learn, keep reading! Intaglio is used to describe plates which are made either by hand or with acid. Lines, tones and textures are incised in a plate, ink is pushed into these areas, the surface of the plate is then wiped and the plate is printed using an etching press. Etchings, dry-points, photo-etching and some forms of collagraph are known as Intaglio printmaking.

Je nny Mason Gunning , a graduate of Cheltenham and Gloucester University in with a degree in Specialist Printmaking, has carved a significant presence in the realm of printmaking. Post-university, she founded her own business, now thriving as Ironbridge Fine Arts. Operating from the expansive Printmaking Studio in Ironbridge, Jenny not only crafts captivating artwork but also imparts her passion through specialised workshops, Gunning Etching Press Demonstrations, and a curated range of Printmaking Materials, available both online and in the gallery. These resources cater to printmakers, educational bodies, and artists seeking top-quality materials for their printmaking journeys. Sarah Morris, a highly skilled artisan holding Advanced Certified Guild Framer qualifications, standing out among a select group of framers globally with this advanced certification. Working from our Framing Studio in Ironbridge, Shropshire, Sarah, and her dedicated framing team specialise in providing personalized framing solutions that carefully enhance the visual impact of each piece while preserving its integrity.
