Our three medallions of Everything Crusted Ahi Tuna were charmingly presented alongside spoon leaf spinach, oyster mushrooms, and forbidden rice in diagonal layers with swirls of brown butter citrus vinaigrette filling in the blanks on the plate. While the popovers were good, they would have been better with some type of spread. We will definitely become regulars here. On the right sat a round of warm goat cheese, next to which lay three layered beets: one red, one pink, and one golden. We began with the crab cakes: very good, but not as good as those at Ruth's Chris. You can even make your reservations on-line. Highly recommended. The atmosphere was dim and relaxing. Resting on stilts atop San Diego By C Level Lounge, is an upscale-casual lounge on the waterfront overlooking the city skyline and Coronado. You could easily make a meal out of starters like luscious butter-poached lobster in a sherry-spiked bisque, fat PEI mussels steamed with pinot grigio, chorizo, and caramelized onion cream; a pile of Old Bay-spiced peel-and-eat shrimp; or chilled platters of oysters. Mains range from Hawaiian ahi and salmon poke bowls to lobster and fontina BLTs to pan-seared sea bass, Nordic Blu salmon, and an assortment of shellfish in a creamy marinara over linguini.
