Originally they were a part of a 38 year old tradition—a family owned bakery and deli in Granada Hills where they met and fell in love. They have brought all of the family recipes with them and even added a few new ones. John was just 4 years old. Their special bread recipe, given to them by Uncle Joe and Aunt Rose Vinci, proved to be a great success. After many years of hard work to establish a successful business, they opened another location in Agoura Hills—Italia Deli and Bakery.

The DeGiosa family has enjoyed serving their community since Her father, born in Sicily, Italy, immediately fell in love with the bread at Italia. It reminded him of his childhood in Sicily.

The small deli stocks hard-to-find imported and domestic Italian groceries. It also serves deli sandwiches, salads and pasta. Fresh made pasta noodles, pasta dishes, meatballs, breads, salads, sauces, sausages, and an array of sweet treats are made in house daily, and their famous hot or cold sandwiches are made to order right in front of you. Not a day goes by that Rosanna, Joe, Michael, or Marisa can't be found in the store, keeping their family legacy alive and thriving. Victoria worked with John and his family in the deli all through high school. They have been blessed with their son Philip Salvatore named after his Nonnos. Italia Deli and Bakery is open daily, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 4 pm. Their extensive catering menu offers everything from salads, to party subs, to pasta trays, and anything else you could possibly need in between. John and Victoria were married and moved to Santa Clarita. The DeGiosa family has enjoyed serving their community since More than 40 years later, Italia Deli and Bakery is still owned and operated by the DeGiosa family and they are still making some of the best Italian fare in the whole of Conejo Valley! Marisa even teaches one of the Career Technical Education courses at the school!
