Please see my disclosure for more details! I still remember being at a party for the new year, even though I was only 7 at the time, and how on earth has it been twenty entire years since then?! I decided the perfect way to celebrate the new decade was with a recipe that everyone has been requesting for a very long time — prosecco cupcakes! It seems the ideal time to post it and it is delicious too. I thought cupcakes would be cute — and I just love how they turned out! Honestly, I overbought, and had some left as expected… but wow.

Please see my disclosure for more details! This is the best chocolate cupcake recipe you will ever find. Even if I do say so myself! Fluffy sponge, light buttercream and a delicious chocolate drizzle — what more could you want?! Okay so maybe that is a slight reach, everyone has their own favourite recipes but honestly, this is my go-to chocolate cupcake recipe that I use when baking for absolutely any occasion, or just for a family gathering, or just myself — honestly they are utterly delicious. The cupcakes are insanely light and fluffy, whilst also being moist. It means you can eat the whole cake and not feel guilty! I use butter, eggs, sugar, flour and cocoa powder to create my beautiful sponge — its nice and simple! I use this cocoa powder as it creates a delicious taste and I love it! When I was younger I would simply decorate a chocolate cupcake with melted chocolate or a simple chocolate ganache — but I find the ganache is better for an indulgent cake, whereas this buttercream recipe is simple yet yummy for any sort of cake, cupcakes, or celebration cake! They are ideal for afternoon tea, a treat in the evening, a party, or just a boost on a monday morning! I use this amazing white chocolate to make my drizzle for these chocolate cupcakes. I use it in almost all of my bakes that require white chocolate as it is just delicious.

These are the most incredible cupcakes, so here they are. If you are after something delicious, but easier and more basic, then check out my chocolate cupcakes recipe! This sort of cake mixture is a lot thinner once you have made it, in comparison to a normal cake batter like a chocolate Victoria sponge.

This obviously had to change very rapidly, so here it is! The basic ingredient rules of a vanilla cupcake are:. When it comes to the frosting on a cupcake like this, I often go for the American buttercream style frosting as it really is so easy to make. If you want a frosting that is slightly different however, you can do cream cheese frosting , or a Swiss meringue buttercream — both work well when vanilla flavoured, and they all bring different elements. You can keep them as simple as you like or you can jazz them up with pretty colourful sprinkles or some beautiful baking cups like my photos! I even have a vegan version , and a gluten free version of these too! I love basic baking, and these are definitely perfect for that.
