I bought a JK a couple months ago and within a couple weeks I got what I've come to learn is the dreaded GasCap notification with the check engine light throwing an evap error code. I read through the forums and found multiple posts with multiple things to try. They smoke tested it and couldn't find a leak, then figured out there was an "ESIM switch that was not changing states". They replaced the switch cleared the code, threw on a new gas cap just for shits and giggles and sent me on my way.
