Jessie also wears her hair differently in the flashback, a style that makes it look a bit more like Nurse Joy's typical hairdo. While no reason is given as to why Jessie was unable to attend the proper nursing school, it's likely that she was simply too poor to afford it, as Jessie's past is often marked with poverty in other episodes. One can't help but wonder how wealthy the Joy family must be to have created so many nurses. Perhaps in some alternate timeline, Brock and Jessie could've even worked together.
