Jiraiya was a member of the Legendary Sannin and one of the strongest Leaf Village ninja from the Naruto universe. In addition to being a seasoned veteran of war, he cultivated both Nagato and Naruto, two shinobi who would single-handedly alter the course of history through the enormity of their actions. Throughout his long and esteemed life, Jiraiya has encountered and befriended many different characters. Jiraiya found Nagato in the middle of a war campaign and immediately realized his potential. Jiraiya comforted Nagato that it was enough to want to protect people one holds to be important, as the world is plagued with seemingly endless conflict.
