I don't do comics, but for printing, I would recommend using an HD printer. Try HP, they have great printers. I got a proof from Kablam years ago and honestly was disappointed with it. There was a huge white stripe down each page spread and it made my comic look cheap and tacky.

Hi I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out here, I want to print some copies of my comic just for myself and a few friends, but I have no idea how to go about it. I've searched up a few printing services but they all do printing in bulk, which isn't really what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out. I know Mixam allows you to pick as many copies as you want with a lot of customization. I haven't used mixam myself, but I plan to when I have the money free to print a test issue. K- stands for keytones, but that is another topic When converting to cymk don't be off-put by the colors getting lighter. Next what ever printer you go though, make sure you you format your files in a way they as you to. If you don't, it's not the end of the world, but they may charge you extra money for it.

All us webcomic folks, at some point, generally get faced with the prospect of printing our comics. Because of our small print runs and almost non-existent budgets, we tend to opt for print-on demand provides. There are a handful that actually specialze in small run, on-demand comics.
