It's somewhat ironic to see music critics and fans freaking out over Kanye West going gospel on his latest album "Jesus Is King," considering that's how many Ye disciples fell in love wit him in the first place. The year was and a young producer turned rapper was rhyming about how "young and restless" the Midwest is, where dude's might "snatch your necklace. These days, when West raps about Jesus, he's quoting the Bible. It's a bit jarring to hear from an artist who once wore a crown of thorns on the cover of Rolling Stone. West is one of the most polarizing figures of his generation, while also being its greatest musical genius. His first six albums are touchstones of popular music. Even the controversial ones -- "s and Heartbreak" and "Yeezus" -- were groundbreaking.

The album is all about getting your heart broken and how his wife cheated on him. Joined Feb 14, If you are not a Kanye fan, I hope that this list has inspired you to check out some of his best work. This is a fantastic album and at one point it was definitely in my top 3. To build on that, I believe that in order to enjoy an album you have to relate to it in some way. I think that the music is really good, and I love most of the songs off this album, but each song is like its own individual project with tons of features. Relax, before you go ballistic on me I just want to put this out there.
