At Kent District Library, we challenge the traditional concept of a library. At KDL, convenience is king! Our cardholders have access to one of the largest digital collections in the country, featuring eBooks, eAudiobooks, streaming or downloadable movies, music, games and even a digital comic book collection. Programs at Kent District Library make reading and learning how to read fun for young children. KDL storytimes are proven to increase early literacy development, helping children start kindergarten ready to read. Learning is truly a lifelong endeavor at KDL with embedded staff members offering reading programs and activities at many senior citizen centers throughout Kent County.

Applications are available at any KDL branch , on our website or can be mailed to the patron's home upon request. The application must be signed by a certifying authority in order to be considered. A typed, handwritten or electronic signature is acceptable as long as all certifying criteria is complete. Once the application has been received and approved, service will begin.
