Genshin Impact 's latest Archon Quest, titled 'Caribert', gave players a glimpse into the origins of the mysterious Abyss Order. However, it ended up giving us more questions than answers regarding the overarching story of the game. Read at your own risk! It is because the nation had existed without one - and would continue to exist without the need for one - Dainsleif notes, that his fallen nation was once 'the pride of humankind'. In the book 'Before Sun and Moon', which depicted the history of the similar underground nation Enkanomiya, it is purported that a great calamity, that being the war between 'The Primordial One' and 'The Second Who Came' forced ancient civilisations to flee underground to be spared from the wrath of these warring divine beings.
Khaenriah
This is just based on my speculation, so take it with a grain of salt! So we all are aware how each region is based on a real life culture, and each Archon is named after one of Solomon's 72 demons, right? I think Khaenri'ah will be based on Babylon. The reason why I think this is because what we've heard so far about the fall of Khaenri'ah strikes me as remarkably similar to Tower of Babel. For those of you read this aren't familiar with the tales of the Bible, Babylon is depicted as a place of evil, where mankind grew too ambitious. To begin their "sins", they set out to build a tower that would have it's top rest upon the heavens. God dashed this plan by cursing the workers to suddenly speak languages the others would not understand, thus rendering them unable to communicate. Sounds remarkably similar to the Abyss Order, doesn't it? And the Spiral Abyss is assumed to to be structured like a spiralling tower. As for the Babylonian empire in history, it is known to have been a remarkably advanced ancient civilisation in the Mesopotamian region, modern day Iraq. It housed people of many cultures during its run as empire and remained pagan. An advanced civilisation that rejected the Judo-Christian God
The Traveler first meets him in Mondstadt after he arrives khaenriah search for the herald of the Abyss Order behind the Stormterror incident, khaenriah.
The nation of Khaenri'ah is marked by being a "pride of humankind" which "never had a god to begin with". Khaenri'ah is dark underground and mostly barren of natural life. This led Khaenri'ahns to focus on artificial creation of life itself by developing the Art of Khemia. According to Dainsleif, the ruins in The Chasm: Underground Mines look somewhat similar to those of Khaenri'ah, and their civilization had ties to the one of Khaenri'ah. The remnants of ancient Khaenri'ah like the Ruins of Dahri , giant Ruin Golems in Sumeru or an Azosite factory located in the Girdle of the Sands all share a grandiose scale.
As the game progressed, it showed off the nation as highly advanced, both technologically and in terms of alchemy, with it being most known for its collapse during the infamous Cataclysm. Given the implication in that same chapter preview that Travelers will eventually be given the chance to explore the nation of Khaenri'ah , there's quite a bit to uncover about it. It will be a while before players get the chance to see the nation, whether it's brought back to prosperity by the Abyss sibling as stated in the Traveler quest, "Requiem of the Echoing Depths," this is their goal or if players explore the ruins of the old world. The old world has been teased and hinted at throughout numerous important points in the story, such as the Interlude chapters that Genshin Impact has put in-game for players to enjoy. Despite being a ruined nation, there are people who are either from Khaenri'ah, have ties to Khaenri'ah, or are related to people from the nation. In order, these connections are:. Rhinedottir, also commonly referred to as Gold in the Genshin Impact lore. She is notorious for her practice of Khemia, a form of alchemy that allows its practitioners to create false lifeforms. This practice is largely what is blamed for the collapse of the nation. The underground nation of Khaenri'ah was most known for its alchemical achievements due to Rhinedottir's experiments.
Khaenriah
Khaenri'ah , also known as the Kingdom of Khaenri'ah or Dahri , is a region that is not part of the continent of Teyvat and is not under the purview of The Seven. Khaenri'ah is most importantly known for its role in the " cataclysm " years ago. During this time, monsters created by the alchemist Rhinedottir , also known as "Gold," poured out from Khaenri'ah to invade Teyvat, and Khaenri'ah was eventually destroyed by Celestia and the gods. Afterwards, all Khaenri'ahns who were not "pure-blooded" were turned into monsters, where as all "pure-blooded" Khaenri'ahns were cursed with immortality. Despite its destruction and the transformation of many of its people into monsters, Khaenri'ah is still inhabited by humans to this day.
