Fans latched onto all these heroes right away, embracing them all despite their relatable and realistic flaws, but the character Kishibe didn't quite stand out as much. He didn't deconstruct the shonen action formula in colorful and fun ways, which made him easy to miss, but he did contribute something vital to Chainsaw Man. On the face of it, the character Kishibe was just a token mentor character for the young heroes Denji and Power, which felt like an obligatory move so Chainsaw Man could have its own Kakashi or Satoru Gojo-style teacher. In broad strokes, Kishibe was indeed the next Kakashi Hatake, but the character's best themes focused on why on a more personal level, he is actually not the next Kakashi, Satoru, or All Might. Chainsaw Man's Strongest Devil Confirmed. Kishibe made his debut late in Chainsaw Man 's first season, joining the main cast in Episode 10 to provide much-needed reinforcements after Himeno's unfortunate demise while fighting the villainous Katana Man. Kishibe was described as a longtime veteran of devil hunting, having far more experience than Denji, Power, and Aki Hayakawa combined, and he had the scars to prove it. Kishibe once operated in Special Division 1 before moving to Special Division 4 to replenish its strength, where he became more than just a strong ally for Denji and Power.
