The emergence of the effects of the COVID process on global and national economies provides researchers with the opportunity to test how well the precautionary principles are implemented and to identify possible opportunities and threats for future projection. Within the framework of this opportunity, firstly, the economic policies implemented to minimize the possible effects of the coronavirus epidemic on the economy are classified in a certain order, and then the relationship between electricity consumption and economic growth is briefly mentioned. The main motivation of the study is to analyze whether there is a significant relationship between daily coronavirus cases and daily electricity consumption and, if there is a significant relationship, to reveal the direction and strength of this relationship. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there is a negative relationship between the increase in the number of cases and the consumption of electricity, and the effect of the changes in the number of cases on the consumption of electricity appeared two days later. This result shows that a possible increase in the number of cases will adversely affect economic growth. Serife Akinci.
