Love this app. I get accurate weather and alerts for my location wherever I am, anywhere in the contiguous US. I have to close, then reopen the app to see the weather radar. We like to start the day off with coffee and a look at how the day may be. Well I have to go.

KPLC - A few pockets of light freezing rain are possible Monday, near record cold temperatures for some will hang around through Wednesday morning. The good news is that the pockets of freezing rain are still expected to be light, and accumulations should fall under a tenth of an inch. Any light icing would most likely occur on bridges or overpasses which are more exposed to the cold air, with Vernon, Beauregard and Allen Parishes most likely to see that. The cold front that passed over most of our area late Sunday continues off to the south, but cold air is quickly spilling into Southwest Louisiana. A few scattered showers and drizzle behind the front and the cold temperatures are leaving behind a small chance at some winter precipitation. Specifically a chance at limited freezing rain to freezing drizzle in a few places, more possible in the northern parishes. Light freezing rain will have a second chance to push south across the area in the evening as much colder air starts to move in, but will be somewhat dependent on how quickly moisture is shoved out of the region, so impacts should be limited but still possible heading into Tuesday morning. Snow is not expected thanks to a slightly warmer layer above ground level, so no sculptures this time around. By far the largest concern in the forecast remains wind chills for Monday and Tuesday nights and hard freeze conditions.
