In this, she had to stay up late working on assignments or even watching classroom lectures. She also attended a three-day workshop which was a requirement before the certification. Thanks to the broadcast stations that she received practical training in forecasting unpredictable, challenging weather conditions within or around the vicinity of the Rocky Mountains. She served for two years, thrilling her audience with her exhilarating on-air adventures related to dusty storms, icy weather, hailstones, windy conditions, and severe storms.
