Can someone please explain to me what Delta V is? Everyone talks about it, but I have no clue what it is, it's so frustrating.

It is a scalar that has the units of speed. As used in this context, it is not the same as the physical change in velocity of said spacecraft. A simple example might be the case of a conventional rocket-propelled spacecraft, which achieves thrust by burning fuel. Hey everyone, I have a quick question regarding Delta V. A lot of times my rockets wont have enough to make a full burn, and I'll have to use the next stage to complete it, which puts my whole mission out of whack. Any tips for getting more Delta V? For transfer stages, I reccomend using engines with high vacuum ISP.
