I've owned a Husqvarna TE and ridden the TE, and believe it would make a much better all rounder style bike at a much cheaper price. The seat is pure dirt bike and you'll want something more comfortable for dual sport and adventure riding. During my trip I was in close contact with Zoe who was on a Eldon and cyclopathic like this. I did have the shifting issues but got use to it. Privacy Policy. I reckon the beta and the husky are two very different bikes, but still, it's hard to justify that kind of money. Interested in my doings? For a few years, the KTM R was my dream bike, then I finally scraped together the cash to buy a secondhand one and just sold it two months later. I'm currently working on setting it up for camping to avoid the slab. A few owners reported issues with the rev limiter coming in too early and engine light problems sometimes with the engine stalling too - one owner was given a new bike when KTM couldn't resolve the problem. But the moment you are cruising along, back comes the jerky response and you feel every bump in the road or track with that suspension. This has deterred some from using the as an adventure bike, while others say you just need to carry the relevant spare parts, know the problems and fixes, and do maintenance checks before adventure rides with both the KTM R and the Husqvarna The power of these bikes is amazing, and unless you are a gung rider you will only use it's full power on bitumen as otherwise the bike is just chewing up rear tires!
