They are joined at the hip in the most subtle way, and got together because Oikawa dragged them to a private place and told them the other like them, then left them there together for them to come to practice with Kindaichi smiling so wide it wasn't funny, and Kunimi not wearing a scowl about having to practice. Usually he would say, "If I exhaust myself now, and don't even start with that much practicing energy, how am I supposed to play in the actual game? It's honestly embarrassing that it took so long to finish these, but I got caught up with other stuff.

Kumimi is a relatively tall person for his age, towering at cm 6'0" tall. He has kind of matte black, slightly long bangs and an undercut, greyish eyes and two shiny black studs in his bottom lip. He's kind of thin but has a lean, muscular build. He mostly has an indifferent expression on his face, except for when he's in a fight. He often pains his nails to fit his mood, though his favorite is a dark red thst looks like dried blood. Kunimi's choice of attire is very lazy so even outside of school hours he's mostly in his school uniform. If he does put effort into it he mostly chooses tight jeans and hoodie of dark colors such as blacks, browns or dark tones of blues and reds, or long, thin coats with lots of pockets perfect for hiding small objects.
Because of this, we actually get a complete look at the various characters throughout the series and what their future lives are like after they graduate from high school. In the final arc of the manga, we find out what each fan favorite's lives are like whether or not they continued playing volleyball out of school. The final chapter of the series gives us one final, significant update to not only our main characters Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, but the rest of Karasuno High School's volleyball club as well.
