Built in the s as a country residence for William Perry Fitzmaurice, 2nd Earl of Shelbourne, the Lansdowne Arms is filled with historic character and has a long standing tradition of hospitality and classic Irish charm. Open fires characterise the cosy lounge and reception area, decorated with typical country chintz. The bedrooms provide a mix of tasteful decor and modern comforts. These spaciously appointed rooms are kept to a very high standard and come with king sized beds among all the usual facilities.

We had a beautifull big room with a very comfortable bed. The staff were super friendly and helpfull and the food in the restaurant was delicious. It felt so Christmassy with all the lights and decorations up. Thank you for a lovely couple of days! We were welcomed straightaway by Danny and Mags. Mags naturally provided insights and recommendations for our daily exploration in the area, and we were able to maximize our experience while staying relaxed and chill the entire three days in the Kenmare area. We had dinner in the hotel on our first night, and it was excellent. Breakfast is available in the adjacent coffee bar and was good.
