Or at least that part at the beginning with all the begat-ing. Adam begat so-and-so who begat so-and-so who begat so-and-so. NB: During fact-checking, I realized that the whole begating thing is pretty omnipresent, at least in the King James version. Pun intended.
The Old Port location is absolutely gorgeous, I wish they would open one exactly like this in Toronto! Several renowned heads of the City gathered under one roof. Menus as varied as delicious. Review the layout of the site to facilitate a more efficient turnover of people". Restos sans gluten.

You can order anything and it will be delicious but the eclairs are insane. A must visit in Montreal. Several years later, this continues to be the single best gluten and dairy-free bakery experience of my life. French only. Kind of a pain to get to, but worth it. My partner had to carry my wheelchair up steps for us to go inside, and once inside, the counters were so high that the staff could not hear my order while I was speaking seated in my wheelchair. I mentioned my disappointment to the woman working there who I think was the owner , and she seemed vaguely sympathetic, and--in my limited French comprehension--I think she said it was the landlord's fault. This time it was even tastier! It looks like the bakery may have new management, as the interior was spruced up substantially since the last time. The pastries were even tastier and fresher than last time. They were just heavenly.
Review Merci! Other favs were the eclairs tried chocolate, choco-hazelnut and pistachiolartisan délices sans gluten, strawberry cake which I didn't eat til a few days of refrigeration later and was still deliciousalmond croissants and the dome chocolat. If you are looking at some of the mixed reviews I would say to not worry about the negative one and check it out!
Riad Soltane has been a pastry chef since and has worked in several Montreal bakeries. Originally from France, he came to settle here because he likes the climate, the atmosphere and the sense of discovery. He quickly set out to solve a thorny problem: gluten. By learning more about gluten-free foods, he realized the selection was limited and people said it was impossible to cook something that tasted good. So for Riad, it was an intriguing challenge he wanted to solve, even though he is not actually gluten intolerant. Produits excellents et le staff connaissent bien leurs produits. Mauvais service jamais un sourire!
Love everything here - such a treat. So relaxing to not have to worry. Pistachio tarts and berry tarts and cinnamon buns are my favourite. I'm glad I don't live too close though because it's way too easy to indulge!! Sometimes the pistachio tarts taste day-old, but I'm still so happy that this place exists. Best in Montreal in my opinion.

There were also some quiches and sandwiches with cheese thrown in, which only interested half the gluten free crowd yet somehow merited an entire counter display. The cream puff items ie eclairs were also delicious but on the dry side. I had already bought croissants in the past and they were very stale. Review Nice place for bread, desert, sandwich. Must go Or at least that part at the beginning with all the begat-ing. A must stop and taste for any GF foodie visiting Montreal. Review Very helpful when going out to eat with family or friends. Everything there is not overly sweet, which I appreciate. Both do some low sugar or no-sugar-added treats sweetening instead with dates or maple syrup.
