Legends tv series review
By Brian Lowry. Bean is smartly introduced in the midst of an undercover plot, having infiltrated a group of domestic terrorists.
Sean Bean is of course known to certain fans for his exits from TV shows and movies, which has happened often enough to become a running joke that TNT did well to capitalize on. In Legends , Bean plays an FBI undercover officer named Martin Odum, whose main objective is to change his identity, and not get killed seems to fit. The series comes from Howard Gordon Homeland , who has had his irons in many TV fires of late including the mediocre Tyrant. Hit the jump to see if this one has caught flame. Legends starts out in the middle of things, with Martin deep in an undercover operation with the Citizen's Army of Virginia, an American terrorist group who fashion themselves as ultimate patriots.

By Tim Goodman. I have to kind of work at it for a bit and do my homework and listen to it. Listen and then read it back and listen again. To get it right and to get it, you know, so that people believe you and especially coming from England and working in a, with Americans, an American set and a crew. You're kind of a bit self? Television needs its comfort food even more so now that so many complex and difficult dramas are available. Sometimes you just need a show that feels familiar, keeps you entertained and ends without, say, someone being stoned to death or some sort of mysterious, ominous clue. Or sexy. And an actor like Bean, who has done excellent work in Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings , has the gravitas to pull off all kinds of roles. The pilot is splashy and action-packed, but overall the lack of complexity — and yes, I know I cited that as a plus earlier — makes it less satisfying. The average TV comfort food is now almost too good; you have to pay attention while watching, which almost defeats the purpose. That makes it hard for a show like Legends. Because those hours have gone to Banshee and The Blacklist.
Through the course of the episode, legends tv series review, the audience follows Bean's character through his undercover work and discovers the struggles he faces in his home life. The first season is part procedural and part serial of him trying to uncover his past.

The acting that the main character Martin Odom portrayed by Sean Bean does in the commission of his job. Martin's particular talent is his ability to convincingly assume a false identity a legend in undercover work. Viewers who enjoy watching his talent are the main audience for this show.
By Brian Lowry. Bean is smartly introduced in the midst of an undercover plot, having infiltrated a group of domestic terrorists. The producers being no fools, it does. Bean is a compelling presence, and the second episode also introduces Morris Chestnut as an FBI agent who crosses his path, adding to the solid cast. That hour finds Chechen terrorists driving the plot, continuing the renewed popularity of thugs from that part of the world as go-to heavies. But while Martin fights a noble battle to keep the world safe and unearth secrets about his past, the series is waging a more mundane struggle that pits its slickness against a lack of originality.

I have watched the first five episodes and intend following the series. Watch Season 2 Trailer. All Rights Reserved. Sean Bean Martin Odum. Martin is considered one of the best in the business, but his intensity and complete commitment to his legend has an effect on his personal life. However, this isn't that stereotype. Makes you wonder if there's any way a third season could be had. Top cast Edit. My final complaint is that Sean Bean, an excellent actor with a long and successful career behind him, is showing his age, and not too well. I'll revisit this after ever how many episodes it takes to find it's footing i. The key and challenge to enjoying this series is to endure Season 1 which gradually improves with each episode in order to bask in the glory of Season 2. The way he is able to incarnate each and every Legend is absolutely amazing. As the characters were either played by other actors, or using different hairstyles to indicate a youthful appearance up to 40 years ago, it became difficult, if not impossible, to clearly understand who they were. Legends is fine, but it's not great. How many seasons does Legends have? Sean Bean is a powerful actor, and he truly creates a believable character tortured by a past he can't remember. Martin is Cameron!!!? The hazards he faces are physical and psychic. I hate shows that take their hero over the top, why not make them more human, like suffering pain, broken bones and even making mistakes. The acting is still top notch, the writing proving just as powerful and making you want more.
