The loss of his wife shattered Butcher's tranquility and re-awakened his old demons.

Season three , episode seven of the Prime Video series "Here Comes a Candle to Light You to Bed" fully delves into Butcher's childhood trauma after dropping hints and references since season two. Butcher is forced to be a helpless witness to the most painful memories of his past when the supe named Mindstorm Ryan Blakely traps him in an endless nightmare.
