Alexander Sprules, 17, who had his child anonymity lifted, and a year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were also both unanimously convicted of murder and jailed for 20 years and 16 years respectively. The trial heard how there were gang associations on both sides, with the attackers associated with the LDG gang in Sydenham, and Levi part of the Block 6 gang in Sydenham. Jurors also heard how Levi was autistic and disabled after an accident, meaning he struggled to run away from the attack. His mother Bonnie races to his aid, but he dies in her arms.
