Logan a year in the life
Why Logan deserved better from the Netflix revival.
Well, I'm convinced. Seven years after Netflix dropped Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life , we finally have an answer to who Rory's baby daddy is, at least, according to the costume supervisor: It's Logan. The series ends in the fall, and Rory hasn't slept with her boyfriend Paul since the previous winter. The guy dressed as a Wookiee? They got together in spring, so Rory would be showing, and as Campbell points out, she was never told to give Alexis Bledel a pregnancy belly.

The biggest of all: Who will Rory Gilmore end up with? Fans of the original series knew she went her own way after graduating from Yale, ending her relationship with Logan as he headed to California's blossoming tech industry. While Rory doesn't need a man to fulfill herself, the promise that all the major guys from Rory's past would return for the Netflix series got fans' hopes up that perhaps she could rekindle something. The answer is complicated. Rory does rekindle her romance with Logan, but it's far from a fairy tale: he's engaged to another woman. Again, we find Rory sleeping with a spoken-for ex, disappointing fans for those who were pulling for Logan. They continue their affair until the final "Fall" episode, when they sleep together one last time before Rory ends it for good. Another detail that surprised fans: In the beginning of "A Year in the Life," Rory has a boyfriend, too. His name is Paul, and he only appears in the "Winter" episode. It's a running joke that he's forgettable, and Rory keeps meaning to break up with him, but he eventually breaks up with her via text in the "Fall" segment. Overall, it's kind of a throwaway plot point. Then Jess makes his grand entrance in the "Summer" episode, as Rory's life is caving in around her. He gives her a pep talk when she takes over being the editor of the Stars Hollow Gazette, then he shows up in the "Fall" episode to attend Luke and Lorelai's wedding. Though they end up getting married in the middle of the night with only a handful of people at the altar, Jess and Rory share a brief moment earlier that afternoon, and you can clearly tell Jess is still carrying a torch for her. The pair soon seem all set to live a happy life together.
Only Amy can start that kick.

At the age of 15, Rory Gilmore was full of promise and potential—or at least that's what we were told by literally everyone on the show. Gilmore Girls wanted us to think Rory was smart, hard-working, kind, loyal, and true. And while we do see glimpses of those traits, especially in the first few seasons, we also see Rory's warts—her narcissism, selfishness, and impulsiveness—all of which become painfully apparently when she does things like lose her virginity to her married ex, steal a yacht, or drop out of Yale. In , Gilmore Girls ended with Rory on a promising path the Obama campaign, anyone? But it didn't. It so didn't.

Logan Huntzberger is one of three Gilmore Girls men who try to win Rory over. He and Rory embark on a somewhat mature romance after meeting at Yale and, even though she grew up with her mom's words in her ear that the rich aren't better than other people, Rory is interested in Logan and seems to be relaxed about his wealthy lifestyle. Among the three men that try to woo Rory, some fans are firmly on Team Logan.
