They immediately go to her Irish cousin Howard Riley's prep school's graduation party so she can meet people her age. Lina briefly meets both Lorenzo and Alessandro. Arriving at Francesca's, Lina is given her mother's diary from visiting Italy at the same age and left to get settled in. As she's trying to sleep off her jetlag, Alessandro calls.

Overall, great start, weak finish. There was even a string of laundry hanging between two buildings, a billowy red housedress flapping right in the middle of it. The street was lined with clothing stores and little coffee shops and restaurants, and people kept calling to one another from windows and cars. Featured review.
