I definitely prefer this over having it hanging out of the side of the Switch dock since the adapter isn't all that great looking. I prefer this way myself because the adapter is a bit long and trying to use the pass through USB port on it feels to me like you have to be careful so you don't accidentally unplug the adapter or damage it in any way.
