Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel has revealed the newest update to the digital card game's "Forbidden and Limited List," with more than 20 cards moving up and down the banlist. Since the initial launch of the online TCG nearly two years ago, Konami has regularly rolled out changes to keep the game's most popular decks in check. December's monthly banlist update saw a whopping twelve cards moving up and down the list, with popular strategies like "Labrynth" and "Mathmech" receiving hits. Now, Konami is preparing to roll out an even bigger update to the banlist for January. Recent additions to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel have helped to make a major swing in the game's meta with a variety of powerful new cards coming into the game. Master Duel 's most recent Selection Pack, December's "Beginning of the Next Journey," introduced the "Mannadium" archetype to the game as a combo-oriented Synchro strategy. The pack would also include new support for an archetype featured in the original anime, strengthening the Paradox Brothers' "Gate Guardian" deck. Konami recently announced the January update to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel 's banlist with a staggering 21 cards moving up and down the list. The January update will feature four different cards moving to the Forbidden status, with powerful staple cards like "Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon" and "Card of Demise" banned. The limited section of the banlist sees an astounding ten different cards set to one copy per deck, including both Master Duel staples like "Kashtira Fenrir" and a variety of "floodgate" cards like "There Can Be Only One. The popular "Purrely" deck is receiving multiple hits with the January update, featuring "Purrely Delicious Memory" limited to one copy and "Purrely Pretty Memory" as the lone new Semi-Limited card. The plethora of changes coming to Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel will look to curb the power of some decks expected to get powerful new additions soon. Purrely is expected to receive a new Xyz Monster with "Epurrely Noir" in the near future, giving the deck another option for its Special Summoning effects. Master Duel 's new banlist should shake up the game's meta and help more decks to shine. Developed and published by Konami Digital Entertainment, the game features multiple skill levels, tournament modes, a solo mode, tons of cards, and more.
