Ive been using both for a some time now and it seems to me like the sniper rifle is better overall. It completely shreds bosses and uses less ammo than the megashark but whenever I look online everyone is saying it is bad especially for bosses. Anyone else find it better? If not, why? My sniper rifle is "unreal" btw. They're both very situational guns. The Megashark is good for getting out of a jam because you can spray so much anything you hit is going to die rather quickly from the sheer volume of projectiles as long as you're not outside. The sniper rifle is obviously good against bosses because it's a slow-fire, high-damage gun best for large, single targets like bosses. You got that? One big thing to note regarding sniper rifle versus megashark Sniper rifle is slow, and precise, therefor it actually requires some measure of aiming skill and leading your target to hit them, rather than just holding the trigger and waving the damn thing around and you're nearly guaranteed to hit with at least one shot.
