Apparently most don't realize the DNR sells them, or they don't want to wait 10 days to get one. It's a purchased patch not a successful hunter patch anymore so it's not the same to me. I used to enjoy going to the local check station. Oh well.

Now that the DNR has generally abandoned the physical inspection of deer carcasses, we wonder whether all the time spent by DNR workers and hunters at deer check stations over 50 years was really necessary.
