The space is much smaller and has not been quietly cobbled together over the years, giving the dining area a more fast-casual feel, complete with faux brick, subway tile, and lots of industrial metal stools and chairs. The restaurant has followed a rather winding path since then, through various owners and at least one tax issue with the IRS , ultimately expanding its storefront and growing into a prodigious sidewalk brunch contender.

The best breakfast spot. See more…. It pains me to write such a poor review of Millie's. We had our 2nd date at the Millie's in Silverlake and we were so excited when they opened in Pasadena. We always had great experiences with them until recently when I observed the owner treating customers poorly. Until today, we had never been treated poorly. After observing the owner treat another customer with disrespect, learning of their treatment of employees unfair pay , and my experience today, I do not plan to patronize Millie's in the future, unless there is some significant change. My husband, son, and I were enjoying breakfast at Millie's this morning. A very quiet Monday, as the restaurant was not anywhere near capacity. At the time we sat there were about 6 tables filled, and about 60 minutes later when we were approached by the owner, there were approximately 10 open tables inside and 10 tables outside, possibly more. There were no customers waiting to be seated when the owner came up to us and rudely proclaimed, "I need this table NOW. I was floored!!!! I approached the owner as we were leaving and told him that he has lost a very long-term, loyal customer.

The food was great and service was excellent too. Sad to post, but doing so in hopes that the owner will see the comments and re-evaluate how he treats all support the restaurant.

Most Egg Dishes are served with a choice of our homemade biscuit OR toast. And a side of either rosemary potatoes, hash browns, french fries, or sweet potato fries. This is my most favorite breakfast place - so much so that I make the drive from Palmdale twice a month. The scrambled tofu and vegan options are absolutely amazing and honestly, better, than some vegan places I've been to. Service is impeccable and fast. Definitely check Millie's out.
