A crafty Pokemon fan carved a charming Mimikyu love box. Known as the Disguise Pokemon, Mimikyu is a Ghost and Fairy-type Pokemon from Generation 7 that's always hidden under a cloth or in darkness to avoid sunlight. It also disguises itself as a Pikachu, but with a creepy-looking face. Mimikyu is often perceived as a creepy Pokemon because of its appearance, especially when it's in its Busted Form, where its neck is bent. In the Alola region, many people believe that they will be stricken with a mysterious illness if they try to peek under Mimikyu's clothes. Despite this, many Pokemon fans grew to adore Mimikyu because they find it cute and harmless.

Let me just start with this: I love Mimikyu. It's without a doubt my favorite Ghost-type Pokemon ever! Its design, its concept, its personality, everything is wonderful and it's clear that Game Freak knows this! The idea of this poor, pitiful little creature whose terrifying appearance prevents it from having friends or being loved, so it dresses like Pikachu to get the affection it so desperately seeks made my heart melt the minute I first heard about it. She was a sweet little thing too. It was a joy to pet and play with her in Pokemon Refresh. She needed a home and I gave her one. I then had the thought that, since Mimikyu envies Pikachu because it wants to be loved like it, maybe it'd be nice to have a Pikachu on my team too. It was silly, yes, but I was one of those people who liked to assign personalities and relationships to my Pokemon teams and I thought the idea of the two becoming buddies, despite their initial rivalry would be adorable. The "body" of Mimikyu has been designed to look like Pikachu. The overall structure of the disguise does resemble Pikachu, but the skin is a grayish-beige color instead of yellow.

Mimikyu has a rather dark personality, as Meowth was too horrified to even translate its words. Mimikyu also has an incredible, ferocious hatred for Pikachu , instantly siding with Team Rocket before it was even captured. It is shown to be sadistic and violent, attacking Pikachu even against direct orders and mercilessly tries to pummel Pikachu even after he fainted.
