Concealed mistwood ruins the thriving growth of vegetation, these ruins are kept out of sight by the veil of nature itself. But there's more to it than what you see.
Mistwood Ruins are in East Limgrave. This area is slightly more dangerous than West Limgrave, but still part of the general starting area. The Ruins are in a wooded area, close to the path through the trees. The path goes between the Third Church of Marika site of grace and the Fort Haight West site of grace, so you may want to start at one of those points. A Lesser Runebear sleeps on top of the entrance, but you can sneak past it if you crouch and jump over the low wall.

Around the ruins, the player will find a number of things that will be useful for their journey outside the first area, as well as an incredibly important NPC. Mistwood is one of the smaller subsections of Limgrave located in the east, close to Caelid. The Mistwood Ruins are relatively easy to find, the Tarnished simply have to follow the main road in the center of the Mistwood until they hear a wolf howling. The player should be able to see the ruins with minimal effort at this point. However, if the player still cannot find the ruins, they can go to the Third Church of Marika and interact with a spectral tree. Upon doing this a golden spirit will manifest and lead the player to the ruins. The Tarnished will have to watch out for Runebears that are either sleeping or moving around in the area. These enemies will not be too much of an issue to veteran players, but low-level Tarnished will be killed almost instantly by their attacks. As for trivia, data miners have found cut content for the game that suggests that the player would have to lure one of the Runebears to destroy the tower so Blaidd would come down to talk. But for obvious reasons, this idea was quickly abandoned. Once the player has heard the howling in the Mistwood Ruins , they will need to return to the Church of Elleh and talk to the Merchant Kale to progress this quest. Kale will give the Tarnished the Finger Snap Gesture. The Tarnished should then return to the place where they heard the howling and use this gesture. Upon using the gesture, Blaidd will hop down from his perch at the top of the ruins and will greet the player. He will then tell the player that he is in search of a man called Darriwil he can be found at the Forlorn Hound Evergaol.

Just southwest of the Map Stelle, you'll soon find the Mistwood Ruins hidden among the trees and vegetation.
