One thing I did not expect when I visited Moalboal is just how incredible the food would be here. There are a number of restaurants and bars that I visited time and time again and would highly recommend. Venz Kitchen is an incredible restaurant for authentic Filipino food. I returned to this place so many times and every single time I was blown away at just how amazing the food was.

The Arista Restaurant and Bar features that endearing, but sadly dying, trait among restaurants on the island: the owner herself attends to the diners. Decked out in the most simple of interiors with slight touches of tropicana, the place conveys its own brand of simple elegance. This small town a few hours away from Cebu City is the only place in the Philippines where you can see the magnificent sardine run throughout the year. Divers from the Philippines and around the world come to this little seaside town just to swim with the silverfish.

They have a whole page of vegan options and another page dedicated to vegetarian dishes. Chicken Pastel - a creamy dish of chicken, and vegetables serviced with rice. Chicken Adobo - an authentic Filipino dish of chicken cooked with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, pepper, vinegar and onion, served with rice. Pork Kaldarete - a hearty tomato dish with pork, potatoes, and carrots, served with rice.

Where to stay in Moalboal The beach and restaurant area of Moalboal is located 3 kilometers from the main road. So the vast majority of the bars, restaurants, activities and accommodation mentioned in this blog and others is actually at Panagsama Beach on the coast. The Kawasan Falls are approximately 20km south of Moalboal in Cebu and are easily accessed by road. Cebu International airport is a great hub. No night out in Panagsama Moalboal would be complete without sampling some of the delicious street food on offer. The food here is also very good if you fancy staying longer — we definitely recommend the pizzas! Just to know, you were just on holidays in Siargao? Finally, the cheapest way to get to Kawasan Falls is on the public bus heading to Bato. I can tell you, I have snorkeled out the front of this place with turtles many times. With reefs just a few meters from the shore and streets full of dive shops, the village provides perfect conditions for unique diving experiences. This is one of the best places to go in Moalboal in the evening. Due to its delicious food, the restaurant is very popular, and the seats get filled quickly there is often a line outside!
