MobyGames turns 20 years old on Mobygames March 1st, something I am overjoyed to witness. MobyGames was created mobygames a figurative basement an apartment, actually during the formation of the first Internet Bubblemobygames, and somehow stayed alive and grew once that bubble popped. It has become the de-facto source of historical data of the game industry, mobygames, for people both inside and outside that industry.

Since its founding, MobyGames has been on a mission to meticulously catalog all relevant information about video games and the individuals or organizations behind them, and, of course, the instantly recognizable whale mascot. To mark the celebration, MobyGames has created a special anniversary version of the site's logo, which will be featured on the site as well as apparel and merchandise. Atari acquired MobyGames in March with the goal of supporting the site's mission to document, celebrate, and preserve vital information in its database. MobyGames is a commercial website that catalogs information on video games and the people and companies behind them via crowdsourcing. This includes nearly , games for hundreds of platforms.
