However, when attempting to log in using the normal sign in and the microsoft sign in, they said invalid username or password.

When I finally migrated my Mojang account to my Minecraft account I was informed that my copy of Minecraft of which I still have evidence was not recognized by my new account. It bothered me quite a bit, but I figured I wouldn't go through the trouble of buying the game again, since it wasn't really important.

However, he has a mojang account that was migrated to a microsoft account, he was able to sign in using the same password and username he typed into GDLauncher into the minecraft vanilla launcher and it worked perfectly fine, and he even changed around his microsoft account as well which was before logging into the vanilla minecraft launcher.
