Originally a channel dedicated to streaming discussions on various TV shows, Nerdrotic became one of the leading figures in the movement known as "The Fandom Menace", a community against far-left overpoliticization of fiction, as well as the supposed mistreatment of fans by corporations and media outlets. Videos often report on pop culture news, both positive and negative. He frequently highlights how the press is often dissonant with the viewers such as their negative ratings to fan-favorite series The Orville and the divisive use of identity politics in fictional stories no matter how incompatible they are with them. Nerdrotic is also credited for coining the term "access media", referring to the industry that refuse to criticize entertainment companies most notably Disney so as to get special privileges and remain in favor. He believes that the access media often labels online critics as "ists", "isms" and "phobes" to dismiss legitimate criticism of any given work, creating an ongoing culture war as a result. Nerdrotic is a prominent live streamer, and has multiple series of live streams dedicated to discussion of pop culture, and has appeared in streams by other channels as well.
