Nikon f100 battery

By bill a. December 12, in Nikon. I have two sets of NiMH and usually recharge before each outing. On longer trips I tend to charge the batteries while driving whether they need it or not, so I'm not sure how long a set could go with continuous use. As you mention I have run into trouble only when I don't charge the batteries beforehand and the camera has sat a couple weeks or so. Along with self-discharge issues the NiMH don't really 'taper off' - you go from a full battery indicator to complete shutdown with no real warning. Sticking the batteries in a quick-charger for 45 minutes before use or just leaving them in it solves the problem. You can avoid the self-discharge issue altogether by switching to Energizer e2 Lithium AA cells. Like you I tend to let the camera sit for a week or two and then shoot a couple of rolls. NiMH battieries for me are a pain in the a-- because of the self discharge while idle for extended periods. Lithiums solve that issue for me. Expensive initially, but one set will easily last me a year.

Sorry, no results were found for " ". I use energizer NiMH batteries. Energizer L91's are sold all over the place also marked"e2" and yet are "real" lithium AAs.

In this view, you can see many of the F's well organized controls. Some, like the metering selection knob on the side of prism, are in the exact place any F4 or F5 user would expect them. A few, like the control cluster where the rewind knob would be on a manual camera, use a different layout, but still recognizably Nikon and better thought out than the F5. The F looks like an F5 without the extended grip, and a cursory glance at the F's controls will make an F5 user grin in recognition alas, the grin will go away upon reading the part of the manual that describes the custom functions; more on that later. Since the F and the F5 share so many features and controls, I'll concentrate on the differences between the cameras in this review you might want to read my F5 review before continuing. For two cameras that supposedly share the same basic design, that's more differences than you would expect. In practice, however, most of the differences simply aren't important for most photographers in day-to-day shooting. Except for its matrix meter and high-speed frame advance, the F is every bit as much state-of-the-art as the F5. It uses the same CAM autofocus sensors arrayed in exactly the same fashion, and as far as I can detect, autofocuses just as fast as an F5.

You can purchase the Nikon F used on eBay and Amazon. The landscape of 35mm photography has changed rapidly over the past ten years. Back in , the last round of professional 35mm cameras were making their debut, pockets of consumers still held on to their film cameras, and 1-hour photo development was as close as the nearest Walgreens. Now in , the reign of 35mm has at last fallen. Consumers have left the format completely behind, no new 35mm pro cameras have been released, and 1-hour development at Costco and Walgreens has shut down. Even movies have gone digital, and 35mm film products are regularly put on the chopping block at Kodak and Fuji. Now, instead of judging films, cameras, and lenses on how well they hide the flaws of film, we can finally embrace them.
