In the middle of summer, Nuuk hosts this famous nuuk marathon particularly difficult marathon as well as a small art and music festival.
As the creator of the first annual sporting event in Antarctica, we are proud to be celebrating our 30th anniversary in with two charters to Antarctica. Here you will enjoy exploring the former Viking outpost and most interesting current capital in Scandinavia, before heading to the new world first discovered by Erik the Red — Greenland. You will be flown to Kangerlussuaq which is located on the western coast of Greenland, where your adventure begins aboard the new Ocean Albatros ship. During your travels you will explore a pristine corner of the planet, coming face-to-face with Arctic fjords, glaciers, icebergs, seals, whales, Inuit villages and hopefully polar bears. Historians and scientists will provide lectures on board our ship and we will experience cultural and wildlife excursions during landings in remote areas.

The Nuuk Half Marathon race is being held for the fifth year. The Route it self is relatively flat, mostly on asphalt, so there are good chances of setting a personal record.
