NeveroddoreveN Member Posts: A quick question about the practical use of the Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization feats - are these practical feats in the long run? What happens if you select either feat for your character, and it works like a dream for a while, but later in the game you find a different weapon type that works better than the selected Weapon Focus or Weapon Specialization weapon? Wouldn't it be a wasted feat at that point? I mean, if I specialize in the long sword, but later in the game I find a morning star that will do more damage, is my feat wasted at that point? Buuuut you have 7th level spells as a 14th level sorc. So against classes that don't have spell resistance you have some abilities that can do damage. Obviously spells that have saves are going to be pretty terrible with only 14 levels of sorc. Its a powerful build IMO. While I prefer bard over sorceror for RDDs, the trade off is you have many more spells to choose from and alot more offensive magic. On your maximize or empower debate. Honestly, just get empower. With only level 7 spells there really isn't any great spells that can be maximized especially with how few sorc levels you have.
Crit so that's one feat freed up. To max out ab, you'd need nwn weapon focus barb levels straight away, 1 bard 10rdd 8 barb 1bard for skill dumpingbut as was said above, you really don't need max'd ab to survive the singleplayer campaigns. Should be bigger darn it!
Weapon Focus is usually one of the first feats taken not only due to what it confers and is a prerequisite to, but also because weapon itemization in NWN modules is often tailored to the weapon the character has Focus in. So, for example, if we have Weapon Focus: Scimitar , we are going to start off with a generic scimitar and find magical scimitars itemized in boss chests. Weapon Focus Feat Rules. Required for: Weapon Specialization fighter only. Use: Automatic.

Note that disabled feats are disabled only for PCs. Some NPCs that characters encounter on Arelith can still have them. Devastating Critical : "In the judgement of the Dev Team it's unbalanced You may not agree with the decision, but it's not going to change" -Mithreas. Note that some Epic Feats which can be taken multiple times suffer similar inhibitions with their later "versions" Self Concealment V, for example, is unobtainable within 30 Levels. Arelith customizations allow any General Feats that are bound to specific classes to be taken as General Feats on other class levels as long as the pre-requisites are met. Meaning, for example, you can take Barbarian Rages on non Barbarian class levels. This offers additional build flexibility.

Will test this on EE override and see. Remember Me? Chain Paladin! You can get terrifying rage on an epic barbarian level as long as you have 15 levels in barbarian. Farun 11 years ago Crit are there to round his abilities out but I really really want to try the rages out properly as this is my first NWN barbarian and that seems a really cool and really barbaric ability. The x2 crit really isn't much, the scimitar is great for dev crit due to its crit range of if keen Go with your build, you'll love it. Only battle I had trouble with was fighting Ellistrae's avatar because I had sold all my weapons bar my acid enchanted scimitar, I reloaded and grabbed a halberd with 1d6 sonic damage from the armoury and destroyed her with no problems. You have enough room in your inventory and enough quick slots that you can equip one or the other as the need arises so it's not necessarily a waste of feats to use a different weapon from time to time. But generally for action modules epic levels are actually fine.

Post edited by Pokota on October You can switch up some levels obviously, if you want more bard feats to get some decent buffs, like 8 bard, you can. But thanks for that tip about using shields, definetely something to consider if dual-wielding just doesn't work and the extra AC is handy since I won't exactly expect to be a dodge machine. Yeah, you get barbarian damage reduction at 26 and 29 I think so there is room for two more bard levels should you want them but level forty with just the two bard levels features a barbarian epic feat I'll probably wear a light hammer or some other light weapon off-hand until I have enough attack to hit reliably, though. Posting Rules. What do you need help on? Epic Toughness, Mighty rage and Thundering Rage. As for Dev Crit- you don't -need- to use scimitars. I can't remember the rest..
I am am excited too with this question. Prompt, where I can read about it?
In it something is. Many thanks for an explanation, now I will not commit such error.
